Malpractice suits are on the rise and for good reason. Hospitals make mistakes. Doctors, nurses and caregivers make mistakes. Unfortunately many of these mistakes lead to permanent disability or death. With over 75,000 baby boomers moving into an already over burdened system. Consumers are going to have to become more self-empowered and educated. I also spoke to those family members who take care of loved ones at home. Teaching them how to use the system effectively with the outcome being more effective communication, better quality care, and peace of mind. We also praised the caregivers around the United States who care for the elderly.
